Masquinongy Musky Apparel is a one man operation in every sense. I (Eric Hinkley) design every graphic, print each garment by hand, and ship them out on my lunch breaks.
I hail from N.E.P.A. and grew up fishing the Susquehanna River's North Branch. My father and grandfather passed the musky obsession on to me sometime around age 10. I now live in Philadelphia where I work as a screen printer and freelance graphic designer. Nowadays I primarily fish the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers. I started this brand because of my obsession with these incredible fish and the fact that I could never find Musky apparel that appealed to both my tastes and my values. I look for inspiration from lure packaging and other fishing ephemera of the 1940's 50's and 60's. I want to keep things clean and simple. You won't see a lot of flashy garments or skulls or skeleton fish here. What are the values I mentioned? A commitment to using U.S. made products whenever possible. Extreme attention to the quality of my products. (If you are ever unsatisfied with the quality of the garment I chose, or the execution of the printing, I will make it right.) I also vow to use plastic free shipping materials. We have enough plastic in our waters already so let's not add any more, right?
